Springtime at A Paris Street Market

I just can't wait. The first Paris Street Market of 2009 is next Saturday. Throughout the week, I will by showcasing my newest creations. Below is the first.

My New Robin Design
Pictured above is a 5 by 6 inch journal that is decoupaged on both front and back, includes 25 blank sheets of paper and is finished with a pretty gold-sheer ribbon bow. I made a few journals for my Spring Show last month and they all sold. (More journals to come)

I liked my new Robin collage design so much that I created it in a larger size and decoupaged it to a 8 by 10 inch canvas. I aged and crackled the canvas and finished the sides so it is ready to hang. The wooden eggs are also crackled and aged and compliment the new Robin pieces nicely. More to come...

A Paris Street Market

The first Paris Street Market of 2009 is just a week away! I will have many new items and great gifts for Mother's Day. Over the next week, check back for pictures of some of my latest pieces. The Market is next Saturday, May 2nd from 9:00 - 3:00 rain or shine in the Aspen Grove parking lot at 7301 S. Santa Fe Drive in Littleton, CO. With more than 200 artists and antique dealers, I am sure you will find some great treasures. Au revoir for now.

Spring Brings the Snow

Snow-covered cherub in our Secret Garden

Hen and Chick buried in the snow

Our Secret Garden Lamb

I am sure you have gathered from my last few posts that it has snowed a lot in the last week. The other morning was so beautiful that I just had to take a few pictures before the snow melted away in the Colorado sun. Spring snows here do not last for long as the snow was gone by noon.

Winter Girl Collage
With all this snow talk, it reminded me of one of my favorite collage creations - Winter Girl. I just love the quote: And in the depth of Winter, I finally learned that within me there lay an invincible Summer. It's very fitting for a week such as this.
